I remember that I was never able to get along at school. I was always at the foot of the class.  --Thomas Edison

Presidential Health

Although the name may not indicate it, this website is one of the most fascinating that I have seen in a long while. Dr. "Zebra" has put together a chart listing every President of the United States and what is known about illnesses they experienced. "Reading the histories connects us to our Presidents in a very personal way. Sickness is a universal human experience. Reading about sick people makes us see them as people, and identify with them as people, not as remote figures in a history book."

I started with George Washington and was fascinated enough to follow each of the "More" links that gave insight into cause, effect, circumstances and other related information. Entries are referenced and are written in a conversational style sure to keep you reading. Keep in mind that the entries are not written for children and may include information that you wish to preview. Highly recommended.
